evaporative window coolers

my return spring on my window cooler won't work. does anyone have a drawing/illustration of how the spring is secured on both ends? i took it apart and i know it isn't right but i can't tell how it should be. thanks a million.

 

Pictures ? as you know, there were many variations of EWCs.

i figured it out, the spring had spiraled out of the container and hung up. i got the spring back in and secured and it is working like it should. thanks for the response.
