Thought this might be of interest to some here. Atlanta Streetrods in Commerce, GA. has shut down operation due to the death of its owner. All company property is going to be auctioned off on Sunday, May 5. This is a pretty large operation that normally had a dozen or more customer cars at any given time. They fabricated complete ch***is, did paint and body, drive train installations for early street rods as well as Tri Five Chevies. I have been told everything in the shop is going to be sold. Tools, machinery, lifts, jig tables, down to the nut and bolt bins. They have a paint boot and mixing system as well as a commercial frame machine. This is also the weekend of the Southern Nationals which is only about 5 miles from their shop. I don't have a time of the auction or any more information. Maybe someone else here has a few more specifics. I know they do own several builder type project cars and trucks as well as a tractor trailer rig they took displays to shows in. Thought I would p*** this information along to everyone here. They do have shop website that you can get an idea of some of the types of builds they did and what equipment they have as well as a map of their location. www.atlantastreetrods.com/

Wow. I work off Hwy 98 . . . didn't even know they were over there. Sorry to hear about that. thanks for the heads up
Anyone got an auction report? The heavy rain, lengthy drive, 15% buyers premium plus 7% sales tax all discouraged me.
