I haven't really heard much about the KKOA event next week in Solvang. We plan to make it down there... not in our cars just going to take photos. I don't know what to expect. Anybody going? - Juan
I was thinking of going also, but then my brother reminded me that the Hot Rod Reuion in Bakersfield that same weekend.
Yeah we are kinda bummed about that. We'd like to support a kustom show here in the valley but, we have been planning to go to bako for months. It will my first time to an NHRA nostalgia drag. If my ride was running I'd stay home and go to the show. What to do, what to do? I never suspected that someone was planning a kustom show here. Most of the older car guys that live here never come out, and when they do they don't really talk to us. We never know what's goin on.
This weekend in Buellton is the Crosley Owners Club meet....I was talking to a guy today with a '48 Panel that he was taking down there.... Its at Andersons...
I think I'll have go to Solvang on firday then go to Bakersfield the rest of the weekend. Man! too many shows, not enough time or money.
I didn't realize this was the first show in Solvang for KKOA. I wish I could do both. Now Jetfuel announced a cruise in at the Rock Inn this same weekend. Crazy!
I wanted to go and support the show, but I don't think I can make it...I'll sneak up there if I can. Hopefully I'll get a glimse of a few interesting cars passing through Santa Barbara throughout the weekend.
I was over at subway in Solvang for dinner tonight and i started to see cars. I saw a couple of billet barges but, then i saw some Kustoms crusin by. My bro called me earlier and said he saw a whole lot more at the Royal Scandinavian later on. I saw one guy rollin a light green 70's cad with lace painted roof Cruisin around alot. Damn I wish my shit bucket was rollin right now so I could bring back the flamethrowing SLOWVANG days.
