I know i'm still pretty far from paint... But I have been thinking about what direction I want to go in. I'm thinking some version of a Black Cherry with a white interior.

3 more weeks and she gets my complete and undivided attention.

    And the prodigal son returns...

After some inspiration from Leebo! and many other builds I have finally gotten something accomplished on this car.

I graduated from college at 44 in December last year. My wife bought me a plasma cutter as my graduation gift. I had to rework some electricity in my garage as I only had one 220 plug and my compressor was on that circuit. I got that taken care of Saturday and knocked out some panhard brackets today. I really had a good time. That Plasma is bad ***. Notice the Nike tennis shoes.... bad idea. I got the hot foot and had to dance a little.

My sidekick had to perform the welding inspection. He was not happy when I locked him in the house while I was welding.

    Thanks

Got the rear shock mounts finished up this weekend. I discovered that I will need to weld my motor mounts in before I can fab the front shock mounts. In order to do that, I will need to finish rebuilding the 3 speed and ***emble the motor to get them back in place.

Painted the frame, ran some brake lines, started installing the motor. Getting closer. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409439579.526859.jpg

Nice. I only got to see all six of your pictures....lol...or whatever the upgrade left. ****s. Your work is kick ***, and for sure without pics it makes the reading faster. I hate that so many threads got affected by the changes. Oh well......diggin' the six cylinder, and your car is bad *** man. Keep it up. Life gets in the way, but you are the one close to the finish line. Kudos to you man. If they ever are really finished...........

Thanks. I did get pretty burned out for awhile and only did a few things here and there. I may have posted some of the pictures in my albums. I am back at it with a new at***ude. I don't think I will fall off the face of the earth this time. I want to drive this car to Round Up in 2015.

Man I am so close to firing this thing off!! I forget that custom installations take more time than bolting on parts. So Im not upset that I missed my Monday evening cam break in. i still need to fab up a muffler, hook up my guages, alternator, fill her with earl & coolant, prime, install the dizzy, and fuel. I sat the hood on it just for my amu*****t. I shouldnt have done that... Now I feel ill. I might have to call in sick tomorrow..."cough"

She should come down another half inch in front once i rebuild the steering knuckle and remove the bandaid thing keeping it tight.

I dont have a snow balls chance in hell of making it to Round Up again in this car. Maybe I can make Day of the Drags with her...

Thanks Nick. I received my shrinking disc in the mail late yesterday afternoon, so I should be able to dress that panel the rest of the way.

I need to work on my heat control more. This is much better than the first time... I guess I will get it all figured out by the time all the metal work is done. I welded this in with my new meco midget acetylene torch.
