History ~~~ 100 days til' Bonneville ~~~

I just realized that today is 100 days til' "Speed Week" at Bonneville.......and it will be my son's first time there (mine was 2001 & I have been back every years since).

I DO need to attend this event...of course it would be in a 100 days

 

I can't wait.......i do have a few things to do...like pack a bag and get fuel in the roadster...

 

gonna pick up my truck cab this friday for my Bonneville build cant wait to get my *** out there

100 days? Still have a ton to do. At least it has its new party dress.

 

Really? That went by so fast. Probably too late to find a room...maybe I'll make plans to tent it at the bend.

I attended all 7 days of the 50th Speedweek in '98.
It was the most satisfying motorsports experience of my life.

I was there the last 5 days, by far one of the highlights of all of my automotive experiences. I don't think there's been that big of a gathering there since, but I'm holding out hope for the 65th! Anyone realize that about this years event?

 

The wife is worried already, its a boys only trip!!!

 

I'm sure Tman will chime in here, but all you HAMBer's going to bonneville better come to the HAMB BBQ this year! We'll be having another raffle for Save The Salt, and from what I hear there will be some of the best hot dogs you've ever had served by a midget (mini mac)....

 

What he said, I will start a thread as it gets closer. Ya'll better come, Macs kid is a mean chef and will punch you in the knee if you don't!

 

Just found out today the rest of my Bonneville traveling buddies are laming out on me. I'm still going though, I can drive 850 miles with one arm tied behind my back =)

 

Probably won't be done for this year, but my buddy just bought a Studebaker to make into a comp coupe... pix later, I hope.

 

Where is the HAMB BBQ held and when.

 

Like I said, I will start a thread later on. We got rained out last year and have several options. Tony (typo41) has a great plan in place.

 

Any updates on the BBQ? Missed it my fist two years. Don't plan on missing it this year.
