I'll post pics tonight, but Ben delivered my truck to me and it is in better shape than I thought it would be. I need gl*** all around (except the back), a 235 exhaust manifold, shift rods for the 3 speed column shifter.

Thanks Ben for doing such a good job delivering it.

Some lousy pics, but the dash sure made me feel good.... :)

I was intrigued by the distributor mounted carburetor, only special models had that. Another thing, is the clutch hydraulic or did Chevy pioneer the dual M/C?

Clutch is hydraulic. That master cylinder does both clutch and brakes.

Well, I thought I had read somewhere that the clutch was hydraulic. Not sure I'm happy about that because if I go to PDB for the front, I'll need to do something about replacing the ****** or engine combo as well.

what years was that for? My 66 was not like that. Mine just had a clutch rod

  8. Lookin' good Caballo. I had the same hydraulic clutch on my '62. Makes it kind of a ***** to convert to power brakes. I don't know when they quit with that setup, but it wasn't on my dad's '66.

Well, I will get it road worthy first, then worry about the other stuff I guess. But, if I am going to put a new setup up front, the hydro has to go. i will start weighing my options. I'd like to stick with a manual box, so a '63 up six with a 3 speed will do just fine. All I have to do is find one.

Place a "WTB" ad over on the 67-72 truck board. You should be able to find a runner six with a 3 speed for a few hundred bucks. I personally have bought three inline six runners off that board in the last 2 years. The most I paid was 250 bucks. One was even a 292.
