Say does anybody have a breakdown of the different widths and differences between Ford banjo rears?
I know the later trucks have an open driveline, but are there other things to consider?
I ask 'cause I have found a '48 Ford PU that I may be getting the motor out of. I may ask the guy if I could also buy the trans and rearend as well.
This will be going in a '30 fenderless 'A' PU.

    Thanks in advance! :D

48 pickup won't have a banjo rear, it will have a Dana 44 same as a 49 Merc outside of the spring perches. 47 was the last year for banjos in pickups.

Thanks guys! I haven't gone to look at the truck yet so didn't know about '47 being last year for banjo in truck.
Does the '48 truck rear still have a 5"x 5 1/2" bolt pattern?

Yes it does. Try to get the rear brakes as well. If the trans is a 3 speed at a reasonable price, it would be worthwhile also.
