I had some that gave hints about the fan mount (from the water pumps) and generator mount. (believe it was low on the passenger side?) But nothing that made it absolutely clear - plus I've lost all of those photos anyway. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Bump - I think the entire front of this motor along with the fan shroud is one of the more interesting parts of this truck. Has anyone snapped some more detail pics?

TRJ has the best pics of that truck I've ever seen, especially that shroud. I don't remeber the issue # but someone will.

when he was building it there were articles from time to time in either streetrod or rod &custom years ago,,if i rember right ,he took actual vintage ford parts from many different years and reworked them to make them all work together...maybe someone has that magazine article?

i believe it was the best detailed motor ive ever seen. i loved the safety wire pattern on the header studs. he truly has talent that is way beyond most the big buck builders.

Just checked the archives and it's TRJ #15. Great pics of the truck and the shroud.

I'm thinkin' this pic may not have the detail you're looking for, but I thought I would post it anyway. The pic was taken at the So-Cal booth at the 2003 L.A. Roadster Show:

By the way, the pickup was also featured in the June-July-August 2004 issue #15 of Rolls & Pleats magazine.

Nice truck. The So-Cal batwings look a bit out of place though. Would have been better with split wishbones or something. Just my opinion. For alternator mount, check the '32 that Troy built. It's a small Powermaster unit mounted below the right waterpump.

i found the article with part of the buildup (aug 2000 streetrodder.by rob fortier)

anyways,my scanner isnt working,,but the article doesnt really go into depth about the pulleys other than saying
"Using a variety of '40s pulleys, idlers and brackets,Shine put toghether this intricate dual-belt system. The generator is mounted on the lower pasenger side"

Thought I'd give this another try. Anyone have ideas to mount the generator low? Specifically where to run the belt since there's a whole lot of motor mount and radiator hose in the way.
