Don, You've got Wally pegged just right. He used to run at Tri-City Dragway here in Saginaw, Michigan before and during the time he had the Gremlin. I had a B/S 396 Chevelle and so did he one season. He held the Nat'l record and I came up short against him on all but one occasion. I couldn't believe it when we cleared the lights and I was ahead. Didn't realize I had red lighted until I got the time slip. Couple of years later when he had a Camaro Pro Stock he twisted a driveshaft during a elimination run. I was in B/MP by then and he was going to pack up and go home without running again. I went over and offered the driveshaft out of my Camaro. He installed it and won Pro Stock that day. The next week he walked up and handed me a brand new driveshaft w/HD trunions and u-joints and a chromoly tube all balanced. I've run that driveshaft in every Camaro I've owned since that date and still have it. He's a cl*** act for sure. Boothe-Aarons (**** Aarons was his partner) was a force to be reckoned with for a number of years during the heyday of drag racing. Aarons ran a SS/EA (396/T400)for a time and we swapped the record back and forth with him for a couple of years with an identical car. Frank
