I have put a 50 Olds guage pod in my 49 Ford. I am running a mid 70's C6 auto transmission. My question is what kind of speedometer cable do i need? Are they pretty much universal or will i have to get a special one? And if so where can i find one? thanks yall!

Lokar makes speedo cables that adapt to different speedos and trannies. What I did was to graft a '41 Ford cable to a '81 Ford C-4 cable using a sleeve. speedo cables are all about the same. Suprisingly after I got all the outside covering off the '41 cable and down to the actual outer cable sleeve, it was the same O.D. as the '81 ford .

  3. We run a T5 in our roadster and a repop Harley "police special" speedo. Sent the speedo and drive unit from the side of the ****** to a speedometer shop (North Hollywood Speedometer) they made a drive cable to fit - works great.
