This survivor 50's Kustom we think was built between 1956 and 1959.

Last shown in metallic blue - However the first "layer" indicates the first custom paint color was 1956 Ford "Tropical Rose" (pink) with white tuck and roll with black inserts.

    Kustom Features

50' Merc grill opening (unsure of grill insert)
    55' Chev hooded headlights
    rounded hood corners
    all bodywork is in lead
    55' Pontiac side trim
    shaved doors and decklid
51' Merc rear quarters and narrowed bumper
    54' Merc taillights
265 chev motor and 3 speed stick

It was supposed to have appeared in little books

It was purchased by a local Montana hot rodder from a wrecking yard in Spokane in the mid 70's

    - story -
Owner was mid-divorce and the ***le was torn up so neither could have it and it ended up being hauled to a wrecking yard in Spokane Wa.

    Here are some pics

Sorry I can't tell ya a thing 'bout this schewbauxe's past, kinda looks Clark Kaiser like, but please tell us it will be restored as a traditional kustom, and not some ''pelt'' build with S10 frame clips and a sbc powertrain.

    pimpin,

I am sure that it will be restored correct to one of its Kustom lives. I'm sure Greg will chime in here, work has kept him busy lately.

Very cool! I am headed to Spokane from Omaha right now to part out a 1950 convertible going through Montana. :). Building a 49 convertible.

It is a strange car. Rusted 8" up the doors but the interior had been reupholstered at some point and saved the rear seats for me. Flathead and overdrive still in and for sale as well as most anything on the car. JC Whitney Buick portholes, 1950 Lincoln rear bumper and continental kit, 1950 olds hood rocket, Lyons caps, 1951 crestliner trim. If any vert specific parts needed hit me up ASAP.

Plans are for a correct restoration, back to the tropical rose color. I have personally done the world a favor by crushing five s10 pickups, so that is not a concern. Would like to find pictures to know which caps and grille this was running. Car is actually very complete. The crew cab is my 58 built from several trucks, and the 57 panel is getting ready for a new quarter panel. Plenty of projects ahead of this one, so I want to do research first.

Try posting something on the little pages social group. Some one might pick up on it.
Nice car. Look like they were running 54 Merc tailights and quarter extensions.
    Keep us posted.

I don't think anyone has had any clues to its early years....

LWG, is busy on a late '50s Ford big window crew cab shortbox, I think the shoebox is next.
