I've lurked a few times here thanks to links on Facebook. Now that I own a car that could benefit from this place I signed up.

I've been customizing for 18ish years & am earning a living doing so... for now. I'm well versed in late model trends & looks. I'm only now delving into true hot rodding. I'm meticulous & have an eye for detail. I have loved "old" cars & trucks forever though. My father used to point out & name the year, make & model of every "old" one we saw. He's gone but my passion for old metal remains.

Enough about that... here's my "new-old" car. 1941 Ford Business Coupe. It has been transplanted onto a 1997 Ranger chassis with a 4.0 v6 & auto trans. This is not my preference but I obtained the car like this. For now I could care less because it's my first one. It needs a bunch of tweaking & TLC but it's mine to enjoy.

I hope to make many new friends here & contribute when I can.

I'm prepared. LOL. If they had not been on the car already I wouldn't have them. Sooner or later I'll sell/ trade them towards something more era-appropriate.

My name's Ben, however not AKA "Buddy". I answer to almost anything though. Just to clarify about "Buddies' Garage": my father gave permission for me & a friend to use his shop to prepare a truck for a show 12ish years ago. In a few hours time my younger brother had shown up & invited several others. Dad was less than pleased to find a shop full of people around 11pm.

Before he could blame me I clarified that my brother was to blame & out the door they went. A few minutes passed quietly. All of a sudden dad (picture an angry Jerry Garcia) screamed "I don't give a #$@!- this ain't no Buddies' Garage"! ...and so the name stuck for my business; because if not for friends I would not be where I am now.
