My very first attempt at a tech thread.

I needed firewall brackets for some radiator stays for my T modified. Couldn't find any locally (NZ) so decided to have a go at making some from an image I found on google.

So to start i machined up a male and female die in the lathe

I then found some panel steel pieces and placed them between the dies in my press. (first attempt went horribly wrong second was better

So after pressing once I took it out and turned it over and pressed again just to straighten things out

The next steps were just simple t*******, shaping, drilling and slotting

The rest is just clean up, prep and paint before mounting on firewall.
    there endeth my tech thread.

Good on you, mate. Yes, a lot of work for a small part but no one else will have one like it. Great stuff:)
