54 f100 front cab mounts

    What's the point of the space between the floor and the mount plate- you could tighten the 1/2'" bolt till the space was gone. ????

    you know there is a rubber mount in that space right?

    check the Mid50 catalog for all parts and pieces and how they go together, good pics there.

    uh...Cmoritz is right, needs to have a rubber spacer...

    That thing will clank and all kinds of crap without a bushing there.

    The pic of the assembly in the Mid50 catalog isn't really correct for a 54- however, they do show the space in the view of the "front cab mount upper cap & plate" (floor line, note space).

    Guys, thanks for responding. I called Mid50 with my question, they say Ford built them with that gap, maybe a 50's better idea. If you have not actually replaced these things you probably don't get what the question is.
