New toy for the summer

Quickly realizing my coupe is going to take a LOT longer to build than I had previously estimated.

Found this for sale and bought it this AM.

So, I will have something to drive this summer while the build is underway. Not everything about it is ideal but the price was right and as a Brookville bodied car, it should hold its value. Will try to change a few things over the next year or so but try to NOT get distracted and ignore the build.

The funny thing...the guy selling it bought it for the same reason, to have something to drive whilst building his 29 Coupe.

Please replace the fuel filter!
Those glass filters have been known to break and cause fires!
Ask how I know. Not my car thank God!

Same thing about the plastic fuel filters, get a metal one. I uhad a 68 Javelin burn because of one.

 

Thanks Guys, great suggestion. I will have the car Monday and am indeed going to give it a once over. Fuel filter will be gone early...

 

Let me know when your done with it....its a lot better than my build ever will be !! flop
