Just trying to piss off the Fad-T-bucket guys.

50's and early 60's buckets are cool!

    I'm building a T roadster. 1962 style.

Bought some lower shock mount studs and a headlight bar at a swap a week ago.
This weekend I went to the local overpriced HotRod shop and got my shocks and steering u-joint and shaft.
I even managed to get some work done today!

A little more bending on those mounts and I'll have front shocks.
Drilling through that axle for the lower studs was a bitch!

  3. Wow. Looks good. I'm jealous. You're going to have shocks that actually control axle movement. Unlike mine that are there only so I can say I have shocks. Hahaha.
I didn't know there were overpriced hot rod shops in your area. I thought everyone just built street rods. It maybe that's just here ;)

We've got rear shocks now too!

Ran out of oxygen before we could finished bending the front mounts.
They're really close to being right.

Made the template for the aluminum firewall.
It's was a pretty productive day.

....inch by inch, little by little, these construction thingees are mounting up. You're gonna have a hot rod soon.
This stuff is tough when you've got your own garage at home, so travelling an hour each way to another city on the weekends to work on it is even tougher. I feel your pain....but i also feel your elation when something gets done.....

We're working up to something kinda big..

Making sure everything is planned to get work done from an hour away blows.

The progress lately has made the drives worth it.

Geez thanks for all the replies!

    Front shocks are on.
Inner and outer firewalls are layed out.
Went to go buy some rectangle tubing for my floor and they didn't have any.
So, that'll have to wait until next weekend.

Thanks for the replies fellas! It's been a tough go at it lately.

Speedy, Pull them off and I'll get some headlight mounts made!!

I'm going to post this pic again to gain some feed back.
New support bearing in the mast jacket to support the shaft and a tab welded to the jacket and screwed to the firewall to support that??

I assume that's enough for that end...

Next is the knuckle and upper column mount...

That's going to have to wait until next weekend or so...
