I ran at Oswego in the mid 70's and I have to disagree with the shutdown being too short. I've run on many, many tracks that have shorter shutdowns than Oswego had.

Just saw this thread today, I was an auto tech student at Morrisville, '62-'64 and remember going there. That's the trouble with being old, everything good from your youth is fading away!

Can anyone tell me the exact location of the old drag strip. I've lived out here for sometime now and just not sure of the location. I'm thinking somewhere around Mill & Orchard. I never got to go but remember the great commercials on WLS radio when I was young.

Kacy, what's left of the drag strip is between Orchard Road and Rickard Drive (heading towards Yorkville). There is a small pull-off directly across from Riverwood Drive where you can park. That would be approximately 7200 Rt 34. There is no indication from the road that Oswego Drag Raceway or King Nursery were once there. The photo shows what I saw the last time I was there, which was 12/01/2012. There is a church in the area but it's at Rickard Drive, which is the entrance to a small subdivision.
