I would bet some bozo has a big shop somewhere, is storing it and using it around his property...
Hopefully, someone will notice it. (kinda rare, Mercury...tow rig...distinctive year AND paint...)

Kudos to Detective Newbauer for his diligence.

Thank you to all the H.A.M.B. members for your responses and help!!!!

This truck has been located as a direct result of your website.

I have always said and I stand by my belief that the cl***ic car community is blessed with some of the best people society has to offer. Thank you again, on behalf of myself and the truck's owner, for your site and your help.

    Respectfully,

    -Det. Matt Newbauer

It would be nice to know more about the theft and recovery since someone here obviously enhanced the investigation.

Wow, a**** the hundreds of others that spend their day telling folks that they don't have the resources to work a stolen vehicle case, and all that can be done is to file a report for insurance purposes.......lo and behold, one lone investigator puts a little effort into his job and this one in a million case gets solved.

Well done Det. Newbauer!! I can't express how much I'm impressed.

Welcome to the HAMB. Please stick around and help us with the epidemic of theft we are dealing with. Now....Go do an intro.:D

I would too, but I doubt any will be forthcoming until after all the legal stuff has been finalized.
