We had more than that a couple years ago at the Cruz Nite at the NHRA museum in Pomona - 42 in attendance!:D It was Willys Night with the largest turnout of Willys I've ever seen at a gathering, except maybe for Indy.

    Vic-
Next time you guys have a large Willys round up you should try to do a line shot like the vintage Muncie Dragway photo.

    Dave,
Where are you located in Ohio? Is your Willys a race car at this point? We are working hard to locate and recruit vintage race cars for our upcoming CARS & PARTS Swap Meet & Car Show in Springfield, Ohio.

    Might be cool!

This was a local Yellow 1940 Willys Sedan that ran my home track National Trail Raceway, I have no idea who it was?

I cant find any info or pictures of a original 1937 to 1942 Willys asphalt hood welt/lace. I am in need of the screw spacing in inches. Some may say they didn't have any and others say they did, I have checked two cars that both were repainted and cant find any holes. I am wanting to install on a 1941 and would like the spacing of the screws to be as close to original as possible. Thanks, Dave.

Dave, I just checked four Willys - two 1940 and two 1939. No holes for hood lacing in any of them. Don't have a 1941....

Dave -I have taken apart several original 41/42 sedans and I have an original 41 coupe. None of these cars have/had hood lacing.

Okay back to the rarest of the rare in Willys. I am going to guess here that this Cantrell bodied two door 1937 or 1938 Willys - I am guessing 1937 by the hood ornament - may have been built speculatively to see if Cantrell could land a factory deal with Willys....

alright.....a long time ago (1968) the dennis the menace willis ,painted lite yellow at the time was being run on a floor jack backed in the driveway of then owner ron regier .... it somehow fell off the jack....running.....driverless.....down the driveway, jumped a grass median in the middle of the street continued on across 2 lanes of traffic and hit a house which stopped its travel !!!!!!! from that point on the front frame horn remained bent until the next owner replaced them. at this time the car received its 2 piece fiberglas trends nose it still has along with its signature 68 laquer paint job.

Looked something like this at the time. See how it looked when owned and run by Jay Souza and Rick Gold over on Modern Nostalgia Drag Cars thread.
Please keep those stories coming. Got any on Tom Grasso? What about the Bill and Nancy days of this car?
