32 cowl vent question

    Starting to patch in my cowl where the previous owner customized it (who says bondo isn't traditional?) There isn't much left of the vent mechanism. Anybody have a picture of what it is supposed to look like or tell me what I need? I think that the original door was flipped around before it was welded in for more clearance with the air deflector. Thanks for the help.

    you posted this on the intro forum. Put it on the main board. Someone will have pics.

    They welded/brazed the cowl vent closed, then cut off and unbolted the hinge and handle setup. Those small holes in the deflector is where the linkage fits to. It pivots on what is left of the bracket, that is still on the edge of the opening.
