Anybody still lowering just the back end of there lead sled?

    There are two safety issues that come up with really tall lowering blocks. One is that the rear end of the car can sway a lot more in a turn which can cause some really odd handling (and could, I suppose, lead to a wreck).
    But the other is the scrub line issue: if you lower the rear springs and shock mounts with 4 or 5-inch blocks on some cars that means a flat rear tire would put the shackles in direct contact with the road. That can definitely lead to a wreck!

    However, I've seen plenty of people driving cars with 3-inch and 4-inch blocks and they seemed to go down the road just fine. But 5 or 6-inch would be a definite safety hazard.

    thanks tom and atomickustoms, thats answers a ton of questions.
    Iv also been looking at the lowering leaf springs from jamco suspension instead of the blocks.
    anybody doings those?

    My Lincoln is slightly lower in the back by about 1".
