What trim is on this car? I was going to post the pic, but it previewed in a huge size, didnt want to muck up the thread. But I cant find out what it is. Any help?

 

Looks like a Buick trim to me

 

Thanks! Google images looks like its 52 Buick roadmaster. I love the lines of that trim and the owner of that car hadnt logged in for 3 years.

Here's a couple of my favorites. One that my f-i-l did when he was a teenager working at Barris' shop and one that he did for a guy a number of years ago.
I want to do one when I'm ready for low and slow and get rid of the H2O hot rods.

That's quite a good guide, and very nearly complete. He missed the difference in depth for all the '49 and '50 grille parts (looks dumb if you mix them). I was unaware of the all-plastic crests on early '50s.

A 49 Tudor I built in 96 and a 51 I have not seen yet, its on its way to Sweden now. Also have a 49 convertible and two more shoeboxes-

 

this thread truly illustrates where the imagination and work can take you. lots of very tasty 'boxes. the one in my avatar was my first--put it together under a tree from two junkers and a few readily available (and cheap) n.o.s. parts from joblot automotive back in '75. lots of kids back then called me "jed clampett" when they'd see me driving around. its end came when an old biddy rear-ended me at a stoplight. her first remark to me was, "thank god it was an old car!"
