Hi all I just picked up this 1936 ford cabriolet that was once a chopped and channeled rod or custom. I have traced history back to being sold from the Lee Roy Hartung collection in 2011 in Glenview, Illinois. The points that stand out to me are the approximately 4" chop and 4" channel, crudely cut off tail, previously maroon paint and evidence of strange brackets for a different motor and gearbox. It would be great if anybody would have any information at all on this car. Here is a shot of it sitting on a model a ch***is in the lee Roy auction. And as I bought it, Remember it has metallic maroon paint under the blue. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
More pics I hope we can find some info on this car and I know this is the place to do it I have seen many stories be solved on here. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Yeah this makes it number 3, this is Luke, Geoff's son. He thought that the two of us needed three cabriolets for some reason. I don't know how we are going to finish some of these cars now not even in my lifetime. Tub1 are you Scott Morrison by any chance? We are pretty happy grinder.
