I have used the search function and found most of what I need although I have a question..I am unsure if G78-15s tires will fit the stock wheels on my 54 Lincoln Capri? Any help would be much appreciated! I know I can call Coker but you guys seem to have a bank of knowledge!

    G would be a little small stock tires were 8.20-15 = K 78-15 or 225/75/15

Thank you...I see a lot of people run G78 tires...just wondering why?? I see 8.20-15 BFGs on cokers site are 250 a pop and I found G78 Cokers on Summit for 153 a pop...is this the reason people are running G78s so much.

A '54 should actually use an 8.00-15 unless it's a convertible or has factory air, then it would use an 8.20. Lincolns didn't go to an 8.20 across the board until '56 I do believe.

Radials will look wrong, and will be much wider than the OE tires. In an 8.00-15 there's the Coker Cl***ic or the BFG, I'd get the BFGs, I have them on my 60 Lincoln and like them a lot.

G78s are way too small, you need L78s if you're going that way which I wouldn't. 78 series tires are what were used from the late 60s onward, really the 70s and they don't have the same look as period correct stuff. And much of the fun of a bias ply is that they look so darn good. People buy them because they're cheaper, and I can understand that but I wouldn't.

Join the alliance! You'll save more than the cost of your membership on a set of tires from Coker and you'll be supporting this incredible place.

I have 225/75/15 s on my 52 Lincoln Capri and they work well. The front is dropped 2 1/2" and the rear is dropped 3" and I still can turn stop to stop without any issues.
