Hi all. Traded a '92 Sportster for a '53 Plymouth Cambridge over the weekend and knew I would get some good info and advice here as I've heard good things about the board.

She's a pretty solid car with only the front pans needing attention. BUT, the car came with brand new Pans so those are on the list of immediate attention. The seats skeletons seem to be very nice, but the covers are junk so the seats are coming out, hopefully, this Wednesday for a refresh.

Motor is a Straight 6, and from the looks, is completely stock. Underneath it looks like the Muffler turned to **** and someone put on a Cherry Bomb and some flex hose (SWEEEEET!). I'm goig to be changing the Filtration from the Oil Bath to some sort of K&N or similar.

Short term plans are to leave it just about as is (Aside from the seats and interior), although I'm planning to lower her. Probably go about 3" in the back and 2" in the front. Baby Moons in place of the full Caps and some modern 1" Whitewalls. I'd love to run some Vintage Tires but they're just not in my price range. I'm also planning to do a lot of family cruising in this and my ***umption is that a modern tire is probably safer. (My noobness showing there a little, hahaha). I'll also need to add some seat belts for the kids.

Long term plans are to clean up the body, she's got a couple of surface rust issues and a minor dent on the drivers side rear door. Looks easy enough to just knock out. Some sort of Paint but nothing crazy, probably black with a bone roof.

As far as myself, my background with customizing lies mostly in Motorcycles. Like I said, I traded a Sportster for this car, and I also have a '76 Honda Chopper and another Honda I'm building into more of a Street Tracker. I've had "older" cars but of the 70's vintage so this is my first TRUE "Cl***ic Car" and I'm excited to have it.

Tried to upload some pics but it didn't work. Maybe I have to be here a while? I'll just post a linked photo for now of when I grabbed it Friday.

    Thanks!
