Art & Inspiration Wooden Model A

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by safariknut, May 14, 2013.

  1. Found this little gem at the Billetproof swap meet this past weekend.Don't know whether it was made from a set of plans or scratch built;whatever the case it is neat.Pretty accurate rendition of a Model A panel delivery.
Forgot to measure it but the table it is sitting on is 20" long,

Cool, I'd bet it had a serious price tag too. My bonehead ex brother in law builds motorcycle rocking horses out of wood that command serous money.

There was a guy who built an entire, full scale, wood Chevy pickup, early fifties I think, out of a solid block of wood. Chevy took it around to various dealers. I saw it in Feld Chevrolet on Manchester Rd. in STL sometime in the late seventies.

$20 bucks sounds like a good deal to me, you cant build a decent plastic model for that much these days.
