So I actually bought this the other day for dirt cheap, knowing im nowhere near skilled enough to fix it. But it was buy it for yard art or it was going to get s****ped and never would been seen again. It was raced in the 50's I do believe. Everyone says I should have let it gotten s****ped but I enjoy having it around myself. thought yall would enjoy

Haha I know, My grandpas first car was a 38 coupe so I got to show him this today and it made him smile pretty big. His was little nicer when he had it in the early 40's though

  6. Did it sit upside down somewhere? My '39 Chevy's top isn't that bad, it was under a tree collecting water for years though. Had a big antenna support or something sitting on top of it.

I'm guessing it flipped a few times during the end of it's career.

Actually it didnt suprisingly, its also been sitting under a tree and the guy i got it from pulled it out of the woods but he said it wasnt very rusty back then.

  11. A pine tree growing through it might do that, but it seems like it would take a lot of moisture to rot that much of the body away.

I lucked out and got another shell to patch mine up.

It it was me I would to that drivers door off and hang it on the wall in my garage. That's a cool piece!

Saw this not to long ago. Still sitting. Has rear fenders and deck lid. Metal is all solid.[IMG]

  16. I like Possum's idea - but I think I would cut off the entire drivers side and hang it on the wall in my shop...
