trying to located a couple titles for my old chevy's (29 and 33/34). my question is, what is the difference between a coach and sedan? my dad says that a sedan has a trunk (built into the body, not removeable), and a coach has a smooth backside. i realize in their current conditions that it really doesn't matter, but it never hurts to know the truth!
Coach was a name they used by chevy 2 door sedans in 1929. The 4 door sedans was called a sedan. Not sure what they used name wise in 33 and 34.
2 doors are called coach; 4 doors are sedans and for some reason the 2 door with built in trunk is calleda Town Sedan ; 4 door with trunk was called a Sports sedan
100% correct , I have a 35 standard 4 door sedan. I had a 34 Master 4 door Sports sedan but sold it. .
Except in '33. There was only a Standard 4 door Town Sedan, and a Master Eagle 2 door Trunk Sedan. From '34 on, you are correct.
