Just a heads up.
Ratster asked me to post this.....I tried adding it to the calender, but I don't know if thats going to work out or not. Who's in charge of the calendar around here?

At any rate, here is the flyer for the FREE car show.

Print it off and keep it next to your heart. Pin it to the front of your shirt.

All the info is on there. If you need directions, PM Ratster...or give him a call.

I don't know my way around Maryville. I just follow the pack.

Oh yeah, I wanted to add.
A neat feature of this show is that if you want to have a SWAP MEET....bring your stuff out. NO CHARGE for vendors!

The only rule is: NO FOOD VENDORS! period. The drive in is providing food....thats how they are going to make their money. thats why the show is free. The Greazies get NOTHING.

Other than that....swap meet is FREE. We're hoping to have a little art, some parts, some striping, etc.

Come on out, what do you have to lose?

When does this start and end? I have a B-day party for my little boy starting at noon that day but would like to come down after that.

I have no idea when it starts and ends.
Last year we milled around till about 5:00 pm or so. It was kinda late in the day.....

I would imagine we will still be there when you get there.

I think Ratster's phone got disconnected....
I'll try and answer all the questions as best I can. Just post them here.

i called the chevy garage for you and they say tighten the valves down to 22 ft pounds. then turn motor over by hand to make sure the valves aren,t hitting. another guy said you just tighten them down like we did to the back one that wasn,t pumping,don,t know what to tell you now. bob

 

Way OT. Does anyone in Maryville know Kenny Downey? I was in the Army with him.

I think I'll tear it back apart and replace that last lifter.....and find out why that pushrod is rubbing....

....then I guess I'll just torque the bolts down to 22 ft-lbs when I put it back.
