I have read a few different things on this and was wondering if anyone has a definite answer.

Did the phenolic insulator block between the carb and the intake use gaskets from the factory?

And if there is a gasket - gasket between the carb and block, between the block and intake, or both???

I have read a bunch of things, people saying to use both, people saying dont use any, and some say use one on top/underneath insulator block? What is correct??

Right now I am using both gaskets, but I want it to be correct

I looked in my shop manual and It doesnt say anything about it... A factory drawing would be GREAT!

    Thanks!!!

I use top and bottom, no harm, no leaks.

The last couple of carb rebuilt kits I bought had 1 of each - I used them both.

If I were using one (or them) I would gasket top and bottom.

make sure the gaskets have a hole or notch for the vacuum port on the carb. I made my own gasket and missed that, did not run very well. Cesar
