On the way home from the showdown Flt-blk blew out a shockwave bag. We need a coil spring or bag for a 96 caprice. We are at the great lands plaza mile marker 170 on I-80. Anyone got one please call me. 262-470-1647

Shock broke inside the bag and it won't seal on the bottom

Brother in law is on his way with a spring and trailer. Going to try and replace it in the parking lot

No trunk in the elcam. So no Jeff in the trunk....

Swapped the shockwave out for a stock coil n shock. We r Rollin again. Nothing better than rebuilding front suspension in a turn pike plaza repair. 6 hours to Chicago. 8 to Milwaukee. Rock out with you sock out!

Glad you made back. I've had a few "roadside" repairs. They are always on Sunday or at night or in the rain. Prepare for the worst. I always carry enough tools and basic parts for that. My buddies say just call AAA. Have you ever seen what a AAA rollback can do to an old hotrod? I've seen tubular A arms get bent along with nice suspensions and shocks broke all the time!

finally got home at 4:30am Central time. in the office before 9:00, damn I'm tired.

I'll do some archeology on the shockwave this week, after I cut a coil out of the new springs and install the other side.

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT, PHONE CALLS, AND OFFERS TO HELP. I owe my brother in law big for bringing parts from Pittsburg and helping install a coil spring in the parking lot.

That is the second Shockwave that has failed on me, the other one was replaced for free.

I am going to take them off and just do springs on the front.

Tyler, why not use regular old std airbags and not the shockwaves? Keep the air, but (almost) zero problem air bags. You will just need to fab up to mount shock to the outside of the arm. Also might need some bag mounting plates, but all that is easy and readily available.

Good to hear you were able to fix in the parking lot.

I couldn't visualize how to mount the shock without loosing turning radius so the Shockwaves were the easy way out, at least I thought.

Debating now wheather to replace with regular bags and figure out the shock thing, or leave in the coil springs and have a normal nothing can break lowrider that bounces off everything in the road.
