Telescopic hood prop

  1. Anybody got a source for this style of hood prop ?
    This style was on Corvette, years ago.

    Suburbans with tailgates had the same on the window too! My '69 does.

    Is it the kind that has sort if a ratchet mechanism? You lift again and it releases? My TR6 and TR7 had those on the trunks.

    I just installed a front hood prop from a fiero in the trunk of my wifes nash metro, that was very similar but painted black. works great and was cheep.

    Yes, thats what they are. You lift it to a point, ad then lower it and it locks up. You raise it again and it unlocks to lower.
