Thanks for all the kind words, nice to know people are finding something useful in there. Big A, Your right it is fun to drive around London, but an A coupe is fun to drive everywhere. HaHa. Sidevalve 8ba, I did overdo the mufflers a bit, kills that sweet V8 sound so two may be disappearing soon. Cheers Tony.

Haven't worked on much european stuff have you? Awsome awsome tech all the way down the line. I loved the cross member for the wishbone the best of the batch though. __________________ HOT ROD CENTRAL LOUVER CO. 602.881.0175 louverguyquinn@yahoo.com As a matter of fact, no I haven't worked on any european stuff for about 25 years now, and when I last did I hadn't seen any copper alloy brake lines, That's why I asked if they were something other than soft copper, which in my experience they appeared to be. I had a friend once who used soft copper coming off a master cylinder years ago, he was lucky when it failed under normal braking he was able to coast to a stop without hitting anything or anyone. And again, very nice, well thought out build! Jim
Thank you! You will get my vote for Tech week winner! Hope the pictures won't disappear, this thread needs to be saved on Tech board. Edit: I mean Tech archive.
Good Job! Im sure you saved some guys building Av8's a lot of time figuring stuff out! I like how you were able to save the stock model A cross member.
Thanks Woodlouse for an amazing read Some outstanding skills used to shoe-horn that sidevalve V8 into your improved A coupe I've saved this particular thread for future reference Well done amigo...!
Well thought out and executed solutions. This tech's gonna be of use in many future AV8 projects. -Pasi
Thanks for all the comments it's appreciated, Flatheadz- forever your right it is a bit quiet, going to sort that next weekend and remove one of the boxes to give it more potatoe, potatoe.
Very nice build. I will add though we built a AV8 over the winter on a 1930 A and used the stock rearend and we didnt have to cut the firewall...Odd that you had to. Anyways nice craftsmanship.
You've been around 4's too long, Tone. There aint no Potato Potato with a V8. Guys I saw all Tony's work exposed at the weekend, it looks every bit as professional in real life as it does in the pictures. Top Job, Tony. Mart.
Well chuffed to have got fourth place, thanks for all the support guys. Uptown83 that's an interesting point with the firewall, might be because I used a French military V8 as they have some extra bits and bobs cast into the block at the rear. It amazed me when I searched for information on AV8'S how the details differ on each project even though we are all working with the same ingredients. Thanks for the kind words Mart, great weekend at the VHRA Gow. Cheers Tony.
