Hey all, any of you Hudson experts have any input on what a 51 commodore 4 door would be worth? The guy drove it home 75 miles into his garage a year ago. Interior is decent but worn (no tears) some minor surface rust but nothing serious, floor boards are good, gl*** is all there. I believe it is the 6 but not sure on that. As far as I know it is all stock. I know it's kinda hard to gauge without seeing it, but I am trying decide if I want to take it on or not. Any help would be appreciated.

  2. I believe by '51 they only made the six - but is it a 262 or a 308? Dual carbs? Makes a big difference.

I'd be shocked if you couldn't get $1500 for it if it runs, I sold a turning over but not running coupe a couple years ago for $2400.

Thanks rustynewyorker! sounds like I might have to bite on it. What kinda money am I looking at if it is the 308 dual carb? Its a friend of my dads so it is priced right and I should find out the engine tomorrow

  5. A complete running twin-H motor is worth a grand alone.
