Rest in peace The little I got to know him when I crewed on the Telstar dragster out of the R&B parking lot will always stay with me as corny as that may sound. I bought one of his unfinished projects (1941 Plymouth truck chassis) recently that was in the parking lot for almost 20 years and when the funds are there, I'll build it just like it should be in his honor... Dennis inspired me more than he ever knew...
http://www.journaltimes.com/news/lo...cle_60955004-ccbc-11df-aa38-001cc4c03286.html Dennis was the partner of John Buttera at R&B Automotive,Kenosha,WI dating back to the 60's with the shop closing several years ago. Dennis had a long legacy of record setting drag racing accomplishments and was a gifted artist of race cars. His motto was "why be normal" and often pushed the envelope of design.
Another Icon Gone. I grew up in the 60's walking past the original R&B race cars shop on 64th st in Kenosha on my way home from elementry school. later in life Dennis helped teach me the basics of TIG welding and bent some of the cage bars for my Camaro. there were many good times crusing 22 ave with the gang. R.I.P. Dennis, you will be missed.
