  8. That Nash wagon is the first one like it I ever saw. I didn't know Nash made one.

  9. Didn't Clark Kent & Lois Lane used to drive around the Daily Planet in a similar Nash Wagon?

Isn't that a cool roof line?

  12. The Rambler wagons from 1953-55 used this same basic body, but only the 55s had the unskirted front wheels. 53/54 front wheels were skirted same as the rear.

Cool - any guesses as to the make?
A lot of Ambassadors in that show, Clark had a Nash-Healey, and Lois Lane had a couple Rambler convertibles (they're still called "Lois Lane Ramblers" today), but the IMCDB listings show no wagons.

Thought I'd add these here, I took them 2 or 3 years ago...

These weren't so much 'found' but had been sitting here for many years,
the property they were on is about 45 mins North West of Melbourne.
The owner of the property had collected them over the time he lived
there, the mansion and land were up for sale and so a large auction/
clear out was held to remove everything that wasn't wanted.

Anyone who was interested was invited to attend, I went along,
unfortunately I didn't have any spare cash at the time to buy anything
but I did take some photos.

Whatever wasn't sold at the auction went to scrap, the property is now
completely cleared of cars, the mansion has new owners and is in the
    process of being restored.

What you see in these photos wasn't even a quarter of what was there...

It's a type of moss, if you leave a car sitting around as long as these have been, in
the right conditions (usually on swampy moist ground) it will grow all over the car.
Pretty common site here in Aust'.

Looks like Lichens (which are a form of fungus) to me, they can rust a car out pretty bad sometimes. I see that a lot in the wetter areas in North America as well.

    It's a pre 64, so I think it's okay.

  26. I get that crap growing on cars sometimes around here. If you pick up a car that has it, remove it. It seems to want to grow on other cars. A pressure washer usually takes care of it.

That mansion is badass! I love abandoned houses. Just went through one last week and found a bunch of stuff from the 20's and 30's. Mostly unsent postcards and newpapers.

The mansion is called' Mintaro' and is a smaller scale 'replica' of Melbourne's Government House. Although it looks abandoned, it has actually always been lived in, just neglected. If you like abandoned stuff, maybe have a look at my photography blog (link in my signature).

Another from Melbourne, this one's obviously way, way too far gone to be saved but it'd make for a cool garden ornament? It sits alongside a busy South-Eastern freeway and only recently became visable due to a fire.

It's (was) an FB Holden ute, the only salvagable parts looked to be the tail light surrounds, it did make me wonder if there are any more cars sitting hidden in the bushland surrounding it. Only one way to find out...
