Here you go, kind of rough and ready. I tried to make a similar shape to the 41 Plymouth grille. Just used mesh as it was quicker than punched out grille - couldn´t find any of that.

Thats along the lines of what I was thinking! Thanks...My wheels are really turning! I think I'm gonna start by making the first version with 2-3" holes as I can do it with stuff I've got or can get for cheap, and see if I like it mocked up.

Oh and I just noticed the hood too! That might make an appearance one of these days when I get the grill opened up, as I'm worried about air flow with that little opening!

    I've got a request.
I traded 2 Ducati Monster 900 for the 1953 Plymouth.
The top was cut off and since Belgium has such nice weather I'm planning to get a Carson top.
But I want to get some idea how it would look with a Carson top. I like the shape on the blue one I found on here, but I want to start the top right behind the door.
Hopefully someone could help me out.
    Many thanks!

    Awesome!
I'm gonna use it as a reference. It's going to be our next winter project.
    Thanks for the help.

This is what I would do... well I would re-plate the bumpers and get a nice gloss paint job also...

Rik, you've nailed it!!! This is the look I'm going for! I was hoping you would do your magic on it.
If I had the money I would love to paint the car in darkblue gloss paint and rechrome the bumpers. But first the roof so we can enjoy it a little more.

Btw I'm the guy who bought 2 books for my brother and me. Still amazed about the work.

  23. Thank you to whoever did this ! that is going to look AWESOME for the grandson.....

I think that could work out. Not too sure about the scale of some of these parts, but it can´t be far off. I lowered the front of the hood too, to close up the odd gap that´s there from the factory.

Can someone get creative with paint on this? Maybe a flat green, red oxide, or flat orange

Not that the wide whites look wrong, but I kind of like those 'braided' white walls that are on your original photo. I can't say I've ever seen that before on a tire. It's different.

James thats awesome thanks! I think i can see shortening it a bit height wise and making it longer so that the dagmars are more in the center..but now i can look around for some!
