Fitted up my 8BA flattie to the 38 to see what issues I might have, and have found that the fan definitely won't fit with the stock radiator. SO, I'm looking for some ideas/ suggestions here. I'm thinking I could mount a pusher electric fan, but don't know if that will provide adequate cooling. I'm sure this is nothing new, so all comments are welcome!

  2. I have an 8BA in my 36 coupe with a 16" electric puller fan, 160 deg thermostat's run cool as.

    Thanks Cully,

Sounds like that is the way to go. I was thinking pusher so the fan would be somewhat hidden up front. Sounds like a 16 incher will do the trick tho!

I have an 8CM in my '39 Standard. Tried pushers, pullers, & everything else I could find. Still ran hot. But, I'm sure it's a problem with the engine, not the cooling system. Now, I'm having a 59A built. Guess what I'm saying is, good luck.
