Billy Sakata's T

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Throttle Merchants, May 29, 2013.

  1. I did a search on here to see if anybody else has started a thread or mentioned Billy Sakata in the past, but I couldn't find anything. I had the pleasure of meeting him last weekend. Turns out he lives less than five miles from me and it was the first time I have seen his car. He has been in the Shifters for about 10 years, all the time driving this T and a Plymouth. He was a really humble guy that just loves his family and his cars. The pictures can speak for itself....the coolest thing to me was when I pointed out the single seat, he laughed and said "That's all I need."

Billy will be in our fourth issue that will release this summer. If you dont already know him, I hope you get to meet him someday. Here are a couple of extra photos we had, one actually just snapped really fast on an iphone for the instagram addiction. ;)

  3. Now that is the way a T ought to look. I'd call it a roadster, not a T-bucket.
It really has the '49-'52 look down pat.

  4. Yea T Bucket didn't seem right, but I wasn't sure if roadster was correct either. Model Ts aren't really my specialty. I'll just call it a "T" :)

T roadsters ARE Bucket Ts especially those from 17-25. Some 26-27 T roadster owners get red in the face when somebody calls their cars Bucket Ts but...

I'm not a T guy, but if I was that's the look I'd be after. Man that's a good looking car. Ken

    I lust after that car!

Did you get any interior shots of the gas tank in the p***enger seat?

  13. I didn't take any interior shots that show it. It was a really quick deal, I was only with him for like 30 minutes and most the time I was talking with him.

Love the clean look look of this T. Doesn't look overdone and is beautiful in it's simplicity. Very nice car.
