So im kinda lost here, im pretty new to the site and see alot of people building some pretty sweet ****. I started posting my build and my buddy dave tried to start posting his build on here. As soon as he put his build thread up a ton of people started **** talkin and his thread got deleted because he is putting 22s on his 62 biscayne. Id see how this would be a issue if thats all he was doing, but seeing how hes bagging the car and body dropping it on those 22s i dont see how thats a issue. Alot more work goes into getting a car to lay body on 22s then a set of 15 in WWW?!?! Apperantly its not custom unless its got 15" WWW on it? Im a bit lost i thought we were all here because we enjoyed old custom cars? I guess thats just a handfull of us and the rest are just a bunch of grumpy old man keyboard thuggin in their yellowed tighty whiteys?!

There is a huge percentage of younger people here.

You need to read the thing about "spreading the traditional" part.

Nothing wrong with any styles of any cars, but they all don't fit this site, that's all.

Your friends ride isn't TRADITIONAL. No dub rims allowed.... for one. The same reason I wouldn't post my T Bucket on a lowrider site. It does NOT belong. it's not that hard. Read the home page, because obviously you didn't. All tossing out insults will only get you flamed.

sweeden, buy some Hot Rod magazines from '55-'63. Read them. Read them again. If you dont see it in there (And I know FOR DAMN SURE you wont see any "22's") then it doesnt belong on the HAMB. End of story...

Oh, and if you and your friend are talking about 22's and bags on a traditional hot rod forum, YOU are the ones who are "**** talking" whether you know enough to realize it or not. Learn a little bit prior to opening your mouth, then you wont have to look like a dumb-***.

There are other hot rod forums like http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/ to post this on if you want to . Some are not a traditional as this one. As an aside air bags could be cl***ed by some as traditional as ford used them in the 50's ;)

We should admit it's pretty difficult to agree upon "traditional style."

Some here feel EFI is OK as long as it's sorta hidden a****st Hilborn stacks or inside some Rochesters or 97s.

Some think a 350" SBC crate is OK if it's got Olds rocker covers.

Most everyone will let a 4L60E slide because it's out of sight.

Hard to get any two of us to agree where a '50s barn find ends and a rat rod begins.

Is anything Ed Roth did in the '60s "in the traditional manner?"

For most, it's like the Supreme Court Justice said about ****, "I know it when I see it."
