Starting the mock up on my 29 truck and I'm not sure if it looks right without the headlight bar. I cut it off and was going to make a new one to clear the 32 she'll. what do u guys think? ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1370122518.284501.jpg

One reason I would run a bar is that the lights won't jiggle as much at night, and the fenders will be stronger, too.

I think it will look good without one. Maybe you can attach it to the side of the grille shell like a Chevy to add support.

Great opportunity for some creative fabrication. It needs the bar for all of the reasons posted.

That bar really does serve an important function in steadying the headlights going down the road, and they look neat too.

Yup, needs bar. It will look correct and keep the headlights from beating the **** out of your grill shell. I can also see the fenders cracking around the headlight mounts real quick.

I did mine off the bottom through the fender and top of the frame rail. There pretty sturdy.

Ran mine through the grille. Needs a bar to hold the fenders.

You can buy a Model A dropped bar that is rolled forward to clear the 32 grille, probably for less than it will cost to modify and rechrome one.
