    Still have tweeking to do -

    Steering play to address / Front End Alignment / Interior floor mats to make / Wheel Covers to buy / ......

    * Many lessons learned regarding this project; -good advice from some ,bad advice from more than some, conflicting advice from many , parts that fit ,parts that did not fit. Stuff done correctly, flaws we either fixed or tried to cover up, -- God Bless Chris from Shoebox Ford for much support and help in doing it right first time or helping me to correct mistakes made

    * To sum it up as someone put it ; "That's Hot Roddin"

    * My hat goes off to those of you who have the skills to do it all yourself and have figured it all out with recent skills or to some of you Old Schools Guys who paid your dues years ago. The Shoebox Ford is not an easy project.

    Nice job. Been there, done that. Took about three years to complete my 50 but, have the satisfaction of saying, "I did it myself".

    The idea of a satin was was to cover some body flaws on this budget build ,some areas did work well with this "forgiving" paint but other areas were disappointment with flaws showing.

    I'll deal with it down the road -not now

    More pics -

    The paint shop i went to told me to pick any color from his suppliers chart - i actually was toying with going a little darker but ended up with this shade of blue. Had i gone darker it would have hid better some issues with body work prep that actually shows through this lighter shade.

    Some issues we need to address;
    * Trouble getting trunk with new rubber to sit better...
    * We need to tweek how we mounted the skirts to get them to rest better(gap)

    ??? As I work on mine, I am continually amazed at what a simple, easy to work on car this is.

    I am in Bucks County so we are practically neighbors. If you are going to any shows this summer I would love to see it in person. Not to steal your color but I think it would look awesome on my 57 Chevy. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I love the color from what I can see in the pics.

    From what I can see, it's a cool build. Even better that you did as much as you could by yourself. I like the color and I think if you'd gone with a darker color the flaws would have REALLY shown up.
