Hi There guys Ive just picked up this 1960 apache stepside. i have read that the 1960 truck came out with torsion bar front ends but mine has coils. i would like to lower it and i was wondering will lowered coils from a 63-70 truck fit my truck of are these different? any help is much apreciated. thanks Zac.https://www.facebook.com/zac.simmon...72878875.69415.100001187753235&type=1&theater
1960 ,61 &62 checy trucks came originally equipped with torsion bars. Its likely someone swapped the whole suspension & K member for a 63 up op unit. They just bolt in and Ive did a few myself.
if it does have coils then your in luck, you can use coil springs up to 1987 c 10.Also i've been told you can get a minor drop from using 67 or newer spindles-if you use the later model ball joints--don't know about this for shure-. but it might be something to check out. but i know the fronts will work
