  4. Funny thing, Roger Morrison owned the 303 Bell Crankshaft Special too. Believe Speedy Bill owns in now. Roger is a true car guy and loves the history. He'll talk cars to ya all day, your income bracket does not matter.

Here's a pic I took with the 404 car in the foreground, my '40 Willys in the background.

    Johnnie.

I got a chance to see Rogers collection a couple years ago, and even though I was barely old enough to drive. It didn't matter to him, stand up guy and man oh man is his collection of cars sweet!

Roger is a top notch guy and a customer of mine, like mentioned above his collection is awsome to say the least. Roger and my father were in the same graduating cl*** of '61. He also at one time, maybe still owns it, on the front cover of HOT ROD was a blue/green 57 chevy g***er with skinny cragars barn find, found around newton? It was raced alot in wichita,ks .neat stuff.

Berardini, Pat Sr., of Garden Grove, p***ed away 5/29/13. A true pioneer of what was Hot Rodding's heart in LA in the late 40's and into the 50's. Pat brought marked additions to the style, trends, and professionalism to what we know today of what a 32' Roadster should embody. Although to leave at just that wouldn't be enough, as everything Pat did in his long and fulfilling 85 years embodied that same p***ion. A wonderful human being and friend who was illustrious car builder and racer. Our p***ion here has lost a true American legend and will be missed.

In early April 2025, the 404jr was displayed at The Garage in Salina, KS. Susan (Berardini) Foshee, Filomena (Berardini) Powers, and Pamela (Lenarz) Haschke were guests of Roger Morrison to reunite family members who had been part of the Berardini legacy, along with Roger who had the car restored to its original glory. In this thread, questions had been asked about some of the photos that Russ Lenarz (my father) had taken of the various races which were held in the 1950s. I found some of those photos, but not all. My mother, Russ' widow, had accurately reported that prior to my father's p***ing, he likely gave away or destroyed a number of negatives, prints, and transparencies because he thought 'cleaning house' was in order. However, I have transferred about 40+ race photos from transparencies to digitized images. I believe a previous post from some time ago asked what might have happened to these photos. Well, I have some but not all.

I would enjoy sharing these with the racing community, and to ensure that my father's work is credited and remembered. Although it would be nice to be able to put original owners to the cars, themselves, even though I know it's been decades. If there is some archive or someone who can help me, please let me know. If we can't make a connection to all, then maybe some and we'll just ensure the rest become part of the memories from that era.
