The clutch in my 42 Fordor needs replacing. My delimma is whether it will be easier to remove the motor and leave the ****** in place or pull the ******/motor ***embly. Any thoughts?????? Oh yeah, almost forgot, it's a six cylinder engine.

  2. i'd leave the motor in , then pull back the rear end. the transmission should come through the interior

I've done it both ways and it is easier to pull the rear end back and the trans up through the floor to expose the clutch. If you have a truly awesome custom interior and the thought of dripping some smelly 90# gear oil on the carpet, then pulling the motor might make sense.

There isn't any interior in the car. At least everything will be still kinda easy to unbolt since I just put in a new rear end a month ago, lol
