I have always been fascinated by cars since I was a kid, but I never really had an outlet for it. Growing up we had piles of sawdust rather than grease spots on our garage floor. I am just now taking the time to become better acquainted with my love for automobiles. I have been sculpting and carving and printing in my spare time and want to turn my artistic abilities towards customizing a project car for myself. For now, I am shopping around for a good body to start with. I want to chop it. If anybody in the Austin/Central TX area knows of good yards or barns or rocks to look under, my ears are open. Anyone that needs help pushing a broom in exchange for tips, tricks and experience, I am available. Otherwise, I will keep to the forums for now. Thanks.
What are you looking for man? I know of a guy that has a 1954 Plymouth Belvedere For sale right now. Solid car to start with and the price is right on. If you're into more of the 60's era he has a 1964 galaxie 4 door and a 1965 galaxie 2 door. PM me if you would like his number.
Hate to go OT here but I have to ask if you have lived in Austin long enough to know what happened to that dirt track out on 183 next to Bergstrom Air Base? If not thanks anyway. Jeff
Thanks for the info. Oh well, met my wife in Austin and we spent some hours at that track in 1965-66. Jeff
Great intro...and you sure live in the right area for hot rods. Good Luck finding what you're looking for, you've got the right attitude. Welcome from Mississippi. BOutlaw
