    Interesting Display at Carlisle
For all you Small Block Cobra and 289 HiPo fans and history buffs, there is going to be a very special display at Carlisle this year, Building G, next to Milo Coleman who raced a 1963 Fairlane 289 HiPo.
Bob Mannel who wrote the outstanding book, Mustang & Ford small block V8, is going to be displaying one of the 260 development engines hand built at Ford for Shelby for his Cobra program.
Bob has spent the last 10 weeks disassembling and inspecting every detail of this very rare XHP 260 small block ford. Found in the back corner of an old work shop, covered in years of grime, now for the first time such an engine is available for inspection.
Dan Case a well known Cobra enthusiast and member here on Club Cobra has been working with Bob to reveal the secrets of this very special engine, see how the 289 HiPo came to be.
Carlisle, Building G, Late Thursday through Sunday, Check it out!

Interesting for sure. I'm sure many would love to read about that engine.

  3. Interesting, but why did you start two posts about it?
