I'll take that flat head off your hands Danny. You don't want that old junk anyway!:):) I thought you were going to build a g***er out of the 55.

  4. Its not g***er, its gas-saver you clearly misunderstood.

ANGLIA! Buy a older 4 cyl car or truck that is carbed and swap engine ****** and radiator in the anglia and go. With that light car with a banger you could probably get 30mpg and it would look like a full blown dragster going down the road!! You could score a sweet running old 4cyl car or truck for 2 or 3 bills.

As much as I don't like the Anglia compared to the 55, I'd go Anglia anyways. The roadster has no top and it's gunna get cold. The 55 needs some serious suspension lovin. The Anglia was originally powered by some small **** mill so it's feelings AND mine won't be hurt if you toss another in it. But that's me being me.:D

Danny...........sell me back the chrome axle man. That will help you get a top for the
    The A roadster.

By the way, I found the wood that goes around the back of the roadster to snap the
top on. Its yours next time we cross paths bro.

You know which one I would like to see on the road.

I say build the Anglia first. You got a motor, ******, tires, gl***, gas tank, etc. All you need to do is throw it together quickly to see if that is what you really want. The 55 is gonna take alittle time to make it weather ready. I love both but I feel the Anglia will take less time. It is lighter and wilder and the 283 will be fine for it. Build the Anglia. The 55 we need to take our time on to make it just rite. No rushing with it. So when are we Starting. My Friday nights are available again.

He could get one of those fibergl*** trailers that look like a miniature version of the same car from the cowl back... then paint it to match the real car!   :D

But seriously, I vote the Anglia too. For the same reasons Rusty said, plus the fact that it would prolly get the best MPG (even with a 283 in it). You could probably get decent economy out of the roadster, but there's the weather issue on that. Put some tall gears (2.47's or something) in the anglia. That thing will still take off good, but you can probably find someone who'll give you a third member that tall.

i would also go with the anglia and a japanese 4 cyl/5-sp. some of the hondas & toyotas will last a couple hundred thousand miles or more and get gobs of mileage in the anglia. even pulling an air conditioner compressor.
