To bad the upper control arms weren't mounted differently. You could gain some room by pushing the frame uprights back further if the suspension was set up differently.
It's actually ok for room, wouldn't want to do a 2 hr trip, there is still a ton to change, front end, exhuast wheels, tires, rear end, re do many of the welds on frame and on and on...wife's watching the budget like a hawk, as for the wheels to get through the summer I have some moon docs on the way.
Oooooh,,,you i think you bought that in Thunder Bay On. Wondered where the car with the boat seats went.
I did yes, it was a good base to start with and I could afford it, more to do then expected but isn't that always the way.
That was a fresh build I believe...you can enjoy driving the car while "personalizing it" which is further along than many projects ever go. Did you drive it back to New Brunswick like a real man or go the other route?
Looking at pic in #24...That car is a good one to make your own. It looks old timey to me. A few quirks, but they all did back then. If it's a new build, just keep a eye out for loose parts during the year
I like the moon wheel cover idea, inexpensive way to turn a sows ear into a silk purse. LOL Interior is looking good with a little paint and some flooring. Keep doing what you are doing!
It's my first time doing the work myself and I tell ya it's amazing, I'm 38 now so gettin a late start but already excited for what I will be able to do in a few years. Only prob is I want it now the tires $ the new exhuast $ new front end to remove the shocks and get that traditional stance $$$$$$ my wife re did the interior did an amazing job for her first try.
...you're doing great. Looks like you got a car with good 'bones' and you can change everything else to suit yourself.....
So I'm going to be changing the whole front end this winter but I want to lose these front shocks ASAP suggestions?
You needn't make excuses for the car, it's neat as hell and getting neater with your improvements. Just keep it on the road and drive the snot out of it, that's were the fun is!
Looks clean from a far but is far from clean lol, wanted a homemade look so its all good. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
.......fighting rust that occurred when we transported the car this winter..feels like to get it all I will have to take it all apart..ugh little discouraged. Keep the rubber side down and the rusty side up...
Time for an update, interior redone, changed out engine components, etc etc Keep the rubber side down and the rusty side up...
