  1. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'v been around cars my whole life. I always remember playing in my grandpa's '17 model t touring as a kid, and when I was in high school, we did a complete restoration on it. I'll see if I can get some pics of it.

Shortly after he bought a '30 model A 2 door sedan, already restored from a friend of his. After I drove it in a parade I was hooked.

I have been searching for a good candidate to fix up for years now, and I finally found a '30 A sedan and will be picking it up today. The seller said he drove it to where its stored 2 years ago and will see what he can do to get it running before I pick it up.

My plans for the car are not huge, but I plan on doing what I call a period correct hot rod. Remove the fenders, running boards and fix up the interior with maybe some ****on tuck, and do some mods to the motor.

During the day I am a diesel mechanic at a Komatsu dealership and by night/weekend I farm with my dad. I plan on changing that to farming full time in the near future.

I hope wick up as much knowledge here as possible, and maybe toss a little of mine into the mix as well.
